New member of the management of childcare-network globegarden
Zurich. The early years educator Silke Bührmann will take over the pedagogy and education division of the childcare network globegarden on January 1, 2021 and will thus join the management team.
Silke Bührmann has been working in various management roles at globegarden for over 8 years. She started her career as a teacher in an inclusive childcare center, then she ran an inclusive childcare center and a family center of Caritas-Lebenswelten GmbH in a socially deprived area for ten years and was also responsible as a cross-agency fundraising officer. At globegarden, she was most recently responsible for the educational program of the childcare centers as well as for the operational excellence and quality in the globegarden centers as regional manager and educational department head.
Silke Bührmann develops the talent and potential of every employee and promotes them through coaching, training and further development. She is also an expert in inclusion and for children with special educational needs. Silke Bührmann is a member of the globegarden Award Committee and, together with Co-Managing Director Caroline Staehelin, headed the project group for the development of the code of conduct for the prevention of sexual violence, which was developed with the external specialist Limita.
With Silke Bührmann, an education expert with pronounced human and professional qualities joins the management board, whose actions are geared towards the quality of early childhood education, care and upbringing without compromise. In addition to her professional expertise as a qualified social pedagogue HF, school director DAS, specialist in education, specialist child welfare and systemic family therapist, Silke Bührmann’s high commitment to teams as well as their development and support distinguishes her. Together with Christina Mair and Kristina Rebsamen, co-managing directors and founders of globegarden, she leads the project with the external institute “A Great Place to Work”, which is dedicated to workplace culture and the empowerment of employees.

With this positive development of our organization, the expansion of our management is a conscious step towards greater management breadth, ”says Caroline Staehelin, Co-Managing Director. With the new four-person management team, consisting of Christina Mair (08/2009), Caroline Staehelin (08/2009), Kristina Rebsamen (08/2009) and Silke Bührmann (01/2021), the successful social impact and growth of globegarden of the previous years will be continued.
